Get to Know Me
I am a Clinical Psychologist licensed with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and Quebec. I studied psychology in Montreal, where I completed a doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D) from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Additionally, I completed clinical training at the Sex and Couple Therapy Service at the Allen Memorial Institute.
In my practice, I provide inclusive Sex and Couples Therapy using a combination of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I offer specialized services to address communication challenges, infidelity, and transitions into parenthood, from fertility to perinatal and postpartum care. Additionally, I offer dedicated support for those experiencing intimacy-related challenges during or after oncology treatments. I strive to foster connection, healing, and resilience for every stage of life.
My virtual practice services clients located across Ontario and Quebec, including Toronto (GTA), Montreal and Ottawa. Therapy can be provided in English and in French.
What to Expect at Your First Visit
First Meeting
During our first meeting, I will ask you questions about your main presenting issue. I might ask how long you have been experiencing symptoms, when did you notice the problem, how does this issue affect your everyday life, and why you feel concerned. Depending on the problem, I might have you fill out a questionnaire about your current symptoms or state of mind to keep track and create a starting point to measure future progress.
Second Part of Visit
We will also talk about you, so that I can get to know you. To design an individualized treatment plan specifically for you, I need to make sure that I understand who you are, so that the treatment fits with your personality and lifestyle. We might discuss your family background, your dating history, your education or career path and why you chose it. Please inform me of any medical issues, contradictions to therapy, or concerns you may have.
Last Part of Visit
Finally, you will have a chance to ask me questions. You might ask about my professional degree, my experience with various psychological treatments, or what my strengths as a psychologist are. It is important for you to feel comfortable and safe with the psychologist that you choose, so I encourage you to get to know me before we proceed with treatment.
